Barrel is proving to be a good match for Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon based wines. My sense is that these barrels do not work as well in Northern and Central California. I might not use these barrels for a 100% Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon.

This is a barrel recommened to us in 2009 by Enologix for Paso Robels Cabernet Sauvignon. Results are good. Used with our STE wine.

Not perfect for making Cabernet Sauvignon based wines in San Martin just outside SC Mountains. On a 1-5 scale, this is a 12.

Anonymous winemakers confirm this is a great barrel for flagship Rhone based wines. Word is this is one favorite barrel of Sine Qua Non wines. Barrel adds a distinctively polished cedar vanilla, which is not as sweet as the Nadalie aroma attributes. This is a great barrel/.

These are the best barrel I have tasted for the Central Coast on one trip through about 10-wineries. Wow!
