 | | | Pinot Noir - Field Selections Description: California was planted almost exclusively to field selections named after the vineyards winegrowers happened to know during the wine boom between 1970 and 1990. These were Swan, Martini, Mt. Eden, Chalone, Wadenswill and Pommard. Many were duplicates of each other, by example the Haynes was the same as the Martini. Some French viticulturists and breeders call these weeds.
