What is amazing about this blog is that no one winemaker will speak out on the most influential consumer publication about California wine. The reason is clearly not because of a lack of opinion; it is because winemakers fear that the brands they work for might be punished for revealing an opinion. No matter, Wine Spectator is a very interesting wine publication for winemakers. One of it's columnists, James Laube, and his California wine ratings alert consumer and winemakers to the benchmarks by which consumers judge wines. | |
